The western mainland of Zylox

Matthew hopped off the landing craft, examining the surrounding area. If it weren't for the colors, he could have mistaken this place for his own world.

The fox marine walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. They had to speak in sign language due to the masks muffling their voices so much and the ship passing through the rift fried their radio equipment. He signed: see anything?

He shook his head. He hadn't seen anything yet.

A flock of quadruple winged birds exploded from deeper within the tropical jungle, their feathers where beautiful mosaics of color. Then the ground started to shake

His head snapped back to the forest. He dropped to one knee and pointed his m4 towards the forest.

A man riding a strange, purple, scaly horse burst out of the foliage. He riegned the horse to a stop and looked around at the people before him. "HEY! You guys need to get out of here, there's a titan right right be-" Before he could finish the thought a twenty foot tall anthro wolf with no visible genitalia bit the horse in half.

"SHIT!" Several of the soldiers shouted as they unloaded into the monster.

Matthew threw down his assault rifle and took his sniper rifle out, aiming up at the things head.

The bullet pierced it's left eye and seemed to only cause it pain, not any real damage.

Suddenly the back of the beast's neck exploded. A red-orange fix came out holding an M79 grenade launcher.

Matthew swung the rifle down and pointed it at the fox, ready to fire if the fox did something threatening.

"Why are you all wearing those masks?" He asked as he holstered his grenade launcher.

The chaplain lifted up her mask and called out, "Before we answer that, would you mind telling us where we are?"

"The western shore of the Baratani Peninsula on the realm of Zylox." He said. "Or, as I have heard many of you Green Men say before: Not in Kansas anymore." The fox looked out at the ship and then back at the soldiers. "My name is Nicholas Wilde, I'm the Captain of the Royal Survey Corps."

She frowned at what he first said, which deepened with every word. "Royal Survey Corps?"

"Light reconnoissance, cartography, titan slaying," The fox said as he looked at the titan that was rapidly decaying to nothing. "All that and more is handled by the Survey Corps. Or Recon Corps as some prefer....or Scouting Legion....whatever you wanna call it." He looked back at them all. "You all passed through a dimensional rift."

"I have no clue what you mean." Her eyebrows furrowed as she remembered what happened to them. "There was a storm, and it was like lightning struck the ship. The was a loud booming crash. The ship kept on pitching, but after that crash, it was like the storm calmed down suddenly."

"Well....I can tell you anything you need to know to live here." He said. As he sat on the pearl white sand.

"I think we are more keen on going back to where we came from." She walked over and took a knee next to him.

"That's the thing." Nick said as he scratched his thigh. "I uhhhhh....there is no way for you to go back."

She bit her lip. "There has to be. We will find a way."

"Maybe you could go talk to Denila?" The fox asked. "She's a powerful wizard. The Survey Corps could take you to her...in exchange for something you all can give us." He pointed to one of the marine's M4s. "We want some of your guns."

She frowned. "Can't you manufacture your own? You have a grenade launcher, after all."

"Purchased from the Green Men for a small fortune in gold." He said as he admired the weapon. "But it isn't common for the Recon Corps to be given weapons that the empire trades for."

She pondered what he had said. "I can't give you many. They are our only way of defense at this point in time. I can't leave my men defenseless."

Nick pondered for a moment. "What kind of weapons do you have? Ideally we'd like some form of high capacity rapid fire weapon, lighter weight rifles, high capacity handguns, things like that...what time period do you come from?"
